Deutsche Bahn AG is Germany’s national railway company, headquartered in Berlin, operating passenger and freight rail, infrastructure and logistics services in Germany and internationally. It was formed in 1994 through the merger of the former West and East German state railways. Its Green Transformation strategy targets climate neutrality by 2040 and expanded renewable traction electricity.
